Those first few weeks go by in a blur. The tiny fingers, the soft stretches, the way your baby curls into your arms—they change so quickly. My newborn sessions are all about freezing those early moments so you can remember the way it felt, not just what it looked like.

I’m a Niagara-based lifestyle newborn photographer, and I specialize in capturing natural, heartfelt images of your growing family. Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, every story is worth documenting. These sessions are relaxed and baby-led, focused on keeping everyone comfortable (including you).

What to Expect

Newborn sessions take place in my bright, cozy Niagara studio or at your home—whichever feels most comfortable for you. The focus is on simple, natural moments with your baby, no complicated poses or lots of props. I’ll guide you gently to capture the connection between you and your little one in a relaxed, calm environment.

You don’t need to bring much—just your baby and your family. I keep things simple, with minimal styling that lets your baby’s personality shine. Before the session, I’ll share a prep guide with tips on what to wear and how to get ready so you feel confident and relaxed.

When to Book

The best time to book your newborn session is while you’re still pregnant—ideally in your second or early third trimester. Once your baby arrives, we’ll choose a date within the first 2–3 weeks of birth, when babies are still extra snuggly and sleepy.

If your baby is already here, don’t worry. I regularly photograph older babies and will tailor the session to meet your baby’s needs, no matter their age.

What sets me apart as a photographer?

My family sessions include a consultation, which I love to do in-home when the littles are around if we can. During this consultation, we discuss all of the details of the session like location and styling of your family to get the images you want. We can also talk about how you plan on displaying the final images throughout your home (while being in the space!). I also get the opportunity to talk with your littles and get them familiar with me. This helps so much during our session!
All of my sessions include high-resolution digitals, as well as a print credit! Meaning you not only get images you can share digitally with friends and family, but you also get hard copies of your images to display throughout your home! There are so many benefits to hanging family pictures throughout your home. My favourite is the increased sense of belonging, confidence and mood printed pictures can bring to your family.
Prompt and clear communication throughout the process. From inquiry through booking, to final delivery of your printed images, I am there supporting my clients through the process. You will never be left to wonder what the next step is, when something will be ready for you or left to create the vision for your images on your own.

Newborn sessions typically are booked within the first 14 days of your little ones birth. It is recommended to reach out as soon as possible to reserve your due date to ensure availability during this window!
